We engaged Sean to attend our football club after setting up a senior team for the first time. The team is made up of a bunch of blokes who have moved into the area, with the majority having retired from football years ago due to family commitments. What Sean delivered that night has changed the team for the better. The club is now united in the cause to support each other on and off the field. The players are making sure they reach out to those around them and openly communicate if they need support. The session opened many eyes to the hard work needed in the mental health space, underpinning our community engagement to support those around us in both good and bad times. The presentation was raw, emotional, and direct—just how it should be—and this allowed the team to engage fully with Sean's words and actions. We all have a part to play, but Sean, you are playing a massive part in destigmatizing mental health, and you should be proud of what you're doing!I encourage all clubs, great or small, to engage with the Shaka Project. If it supports even one person, then it has done its job.

We highly recommend the Shaka Project to anyone seeking a powerful, insightful, and truly remarkable mental health speaker. Being a small country town Football and Netball club, the mental health of our players and supporters is a high priority. Sean's knowledge, genuine compassion, and engaging delivery made a profound impact on everyone in the room. The presentation had a remarkable impact on our players and supporters through his ability to connect on personal level, breaking down complex mental health concepts. It not only educated but also inspired and empowered us to take meaningful steps towards better mental well-being and brought us all closer as a community.

Amazing talk, amazing turn out! Sean was inspiring to listen to & very relatable. He had the whole crowd very engaged & have heard lots of positive feedback from the event. It’s awesome to see the Shaka merchandise being worn around our little town & it has already started lots of conversation. A much needed event for a little country town. We would be more than happy to have Sean & the Shaka Project again in the future.

“Sean, as a person you are such a strong bloke with such determination to make life better for others and I admire that. As for the presentation, it did not change a thing, it was perfect. Sean was absolutely amazing. You could've heard a pin drop in the room and he captivated everyone within the first minute of speaking. It takes such courage to speak about mental health but sharing his own personal battles was eye opening and something that everyone should hear. We will be getting Sean back at the end of the season to touch base and hopefully capture more hearts and share his battles and resources with those who unfortunately missed out.”

"The presentation was so special and had us captivated throughout the entire duration. I commend your strength and openness in being so raw and real with your own story and sharing that with complete strangers. The delivery of such an important message was so relatable to all age groups within the room and it was so evident that everyone was engaged throughout. With the recent suicides in our community, this conversation was so timely and I can already see how beneficial this was to our players and members - by breaking down those walls and reassuring them that it's okay to talk about it publicly. Personally, I feel more motivated than ever to continue these conversations within this football club. Again, Thank-you so much for being part of our journey to a mentally healthier and happier community. Wishing you all the best for the future of the Shaka Project - you're doing amazing things guys and I cannot recommend you more highly."
Jessica Chandler, Langhorne Creek Football Club
"A fantastic presentation, thank you Sean. Speaking to a very broad age group from 14-50+ and you achieved everyone's full attention and respect. So much positive feedback within the club. Thank you for sharing your story and creating a presentation so raw, heart felt and relatable to our community. We have all walked away with more knowledge and hopefully confidence to break down those walls and create conversation around mental health. We will highly recommend Sean and The Shaka Project, thank you and all the best!"
